- 2 cups Bisquick mix
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar (for strawberries)
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Gradually stir in the milk until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds.
- Pat the dough into a rectangular shape about 1-inch thick.
- Cut the dough into circles using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
- Place the circles onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the biscuits are baking, mix the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
- Once the biscuits are done baking, allow them to cool slightly.
- To assemble, slice the biscuits in half, layer with strawberries, and top with whipped cream.
Notes
- For a sweeter fruit topping, allow strawberries to macerate longer.
- Use heavy whipping cream for a richer topping.
