Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle on medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions (4 ounces each) and gently form them into loose balls without overworking the meat.
  3. Once the griddle is hot, place the beef balls on the surface.
  4. With a sturdy spatula, smash each beef ball down to about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a nice crust forms on the bottom side.
  7. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  8. Toast the burger buns on the griddle for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  9. Assemble your burgers by placing the patties onto the buns and adding your favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.).
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
