Description

A delicious and healthy chicken dish stuffed with broccoli and cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, steamed and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket, without cutting all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, combine the steamed broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  4. Stuff each chicken breast with the broccoli and cheese mixture, securing the openings with toothpicks if necessary.
  5. Season the outside of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • To enhance flavor, you can add garlic powder or onion powder to the stuffing mixture.
  • Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
