Description
Easy No-Knead Ciabatta Bread Recipe for Beginners
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- ½ teaspoon instant yeast
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and instant yeast.
- Gradually add the warm water to the flour mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon until there are no dry patches.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp towel and let it rest at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours, until the dough is bubbly and has doubled in size.
- After the resting period, dust a clean surface with flour. Turn the dough out onto the floured surface and sprinkle the top with flour as well.
- Gently stretch and fold the dough into a rectangle, then divide it into two equal pieces.
- Place the dough pieces on a floured baking sheet and cover them with a towel. Let them rise for another 45 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a baking stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Carefully transfer the risen dough onto the baking stone or a baking tray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread turns golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- Ensure the dough is well-floured to prevent sticking when shaping.
- For added flavor, you can mix in herbs or cheese before the final rise.
