Description

A delicious and satisfying low-carb calzone made with almond flour and filled with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, vegetables, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Repeat until the mixture is completely melted and well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the almond flour, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the melted cheese mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out to your desired thickness.
  6. Remove the top sheet of parchment paper and add your choice of toppings on one half of the dough.
  7. Fold the other half of the dough over the toppings and seal the edges by pressing them together.
  8. Transfer the calzone onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
