- 2 ribeye steaks (1 inch thick)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a skillet, preferably cast iron, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until melted and bubbling.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time according to your preferred doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, add the remaining butter, minced garlic, and rosemary to the skillet.
- Spoon the garlic butter over the steaks repeatedly as they finish cooking.
- Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the skillet and place them on a cutting board. Let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice the steaks against the grain and serve drizzled with the garlic butter from the skillet.
