  • Total Time: 35
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Gluten Free

Description

Keto Indian Frybread is a delicious low-carb alternative that you can enjoy at any time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Water, as needed for dough consistency

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps.
  2. In a separate bowl, melt the mozzarella cheese in the microwave for 30-60 seconds or until fully melted.
  3. Add the melted cheese to the dry ingredients along with the eggs and olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  4. If the dough is too crumbly, gradually add water, a tablespoon at a time, until you achieve a soft but workable dough.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  6. On a parchment paper-lined surface, flatten each ball into a circle about 1/4 inch thick using a rolling pin or your hands.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil.
  8. Carefully place the flattened dough into the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Remove the frybread from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite dips or toppings.
