- 500g ground chicken
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Add the red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are well combined.
- Incorporate the beaten egg into the mixture to bind the ingredients together.
- Gradually add the bread crumbs to the mixture, stirring until the mixture is firm enough to hold its shape.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties into the pan, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the patties from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the spicy chicken patties hot with your choice of dipping sauce or in a burger bun.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is properly heated to achieve the best texture.
- You can adjust the spice level by modifying the amount of chili powder.
- These patties can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
