A delicious Vegan Danish filled with an easy cream cheese filling, perfect for a sweet treat.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup vegan butter, softened
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- For the cream cheese filling:
- 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the softened vegan butter and almond milk to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into squares to form the bases for the Danish.
- In another bowl, mix together the vegan cream cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese filling in the center of each dough square.
- Fold the corners of each square towards the center to create a pinwheel shape.
- Place the assembled Danishes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
- Make sure the vegan butter is softened for easier mixing.
- You can substitute almond milk with any other plant-based milk.
- Store leftover Danishes in an airtight container.
