Description
Experience the simplicity and flavor of Carnivore Meatballs, made with just ground beef and salt. Ideal for those on a carnivore diet or keto enthusiasts, these meatballs offer pure, unprocessed protein without any fillers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds ground beef (ideally 80/20 for the perfect fat ratio)
- 1 tablespoon salt
Instructions
- Place your ground beef in a large mixing bowl and allow it to come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle the salt evenly over the ground beef and gently mix with clean hands until the salt is evenly distributed.
- Divide and roll the meat mixture into meatballs about 1-1½ inches in diameter.
- For pan-frying: Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add the meatballs, and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F).
- For oven-baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the meatballs on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and fully cooked (internal temperature of 160°F).
- Let your meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overwork the meat to keep the meatballs tender.
- Use cold hands to prevent the meat from sticking when forming the meatballs.
- Refrigerate cooked meatballs in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
