Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels and place it in a large roasting pan.
- Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Generously season the pork with salt on all sides. You can also add freshly ground black pepper if desired.
- Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the pork, avoiding the bone.
- Cover the pork shoulder with aluminum foil, sealing it tightly to retain moisture during cooking.
- Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven and roast for about 6 to 8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).
- Once done, remove the foil and let the pork rest for at least 30 minutes before shredding or slicing.
