Description
A flavorful dish combining ground pork and Brussels sprouts, dressed in a spicy soy sauce mixture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- While the pork is cooking, in a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sriracha, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Once the pork is browned, pour the sauce mixture over the pork and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and add the halved Brussels sprouts cut-side down. Cook for about 5 minutes without stirring until they are golden brown.
- Stir the Brussels sprouts and cook for an additional 5 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Return the cooked pork to the skillet and toss together with the Brussels sprouts for another minute to heat through.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spiciness by modifying the amount of sriracha.
- This dish can be served over rice or quinoa for a more filling meal.
